Past Collaborations

2024 Collaboration: A Night at the Museum

In March 2024 A Night at the Museum saw some of CMA’s art collection brought to life by the students of CSA’s Music, Dance, and Visual Arts Departments. Musical works, such as de Falla’s Ritual Fire Dance, and Debussy’s Claire de Lune, set to stylized choreography accompanied the larger-than-life sized artwork, created by CSA’s Visual Art.

2023 Collaboration: Alex and the Monsters Who Love Classical Music

In March 2023, Alex and the Monsters Who Love Classical Music took audiences on a journey through classical music periods. Audiences saw music students from CSA play alongside local professional musicians provided by Piano Cleveland, stylized choreography from CSA’s dance department, and colorful props, scenery, and costume pieces for the performance created by CSA’s visual art students.

2022 Collaboration: Carnival of the Animals

Piano Cleveland, the Cleveland School of the Arts, and the Cleveland Museum of Art launched this exciting annual collaboration in 2022, with the multi-disciplinary production of Saint-Saën’s Carnival of the Animals. Featuring students from the art, dance, and music departments at CSA, this one-of-a-kind production wowed audiences and provided students with a tremendous opportunity for cross-collaboration.
