Stanislav Khristenko, the stunning first prize winner at the 2013 Cleveland International Piano Competition, will perform two important concerts in May, one in Cleveland; the other at Carnegie Hall in New York.
The Cleveland concert, part of CIPC’s 2014 Concert Series, will be held Sunday, May 11, at 8:00 pm in Kulas Hall at the Cleveland Institute of Music.
The New York concert, which was awarded to Stanislav as part of his first prize package at the Competition last summer, will be held Monday, May 19, at 7:30 pm in Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall.

Both concerts will feature a program of works for solo piano by Bartók, Zemlinsky, Krenek, Liszt, Chopin, and Prokofiev.
Since winning the Competition, Stanislav has performed in the U.S. Spain, Belgium, and South Korea. This summer he will perform at the Ventura Music Festival (CA), Green Lake Festival of Music (WI), International Keyboard Institute & Festival (NYC), and the Chautauqua Institution (NY). Immediately following his performance with the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra, he will depart for 10-day tour of China.
