We welcome pianists ages 13-18 to apply to the Cleveland International Piano Institute for Young Artists. Age is determined by your age on August 1, 2026. All applications must be submitted through Accepted.
You will be asked to submit the following information through our online application system.
Biographical Information
- Concert experience, including past competitions and prizes
- Concerto and chamber music repertoire and experience
- Current and past teachers
- Recommendation letters (1-2)
You may also include press releases, programs, and/or critical reviews.
Audition Repertoire
VIDEO LENGTH
10-20 minutes of music
- First movement of a Classical sonata by Beethoven, Haydn, or Mozart (without repeats)
- A second piece that displays virtuosity
- If time permits, applicants may record one additional piece of their choosing
Recording Instructions
Your audition video should be a recording made within the last year. The audition program must be submitted as one video, but the video does not need to be recorded in one take. Cuts between pieces are permitted. Edits made to individual pieces are not permitted.
It is recommended to use at least one external microphone when recording audition videos to ensure the highest quality recording possible.
