Young Steinway Artist Hin-Yat Tsang is the winner of the Piano-Campus (Paris), Asian Chopin (Tokyo), and Manchester Concerto Competitions. Tsang is also a top prizewinner and laureate of the Maria Canals International Music Competition (Barcelona), James Mottram International Piano Competition (Manchester), International Hans von Bülow Competition (Meiningen), Manhattan Music Competition (New York), Gina Bachauer International Young Artist Competition (Salt Lake City), and Hong Kong International Piano Competition. He was also a Semi-Finalist at the Tbilisi International Piano Competition, Scottish International Piano Competition (Glasgow) and International Telekom Beethoven Competition (Bonn).
Hin-Yat’s performance career has led him to some of Europe’s finest venues including the Wigmore Hall and Cadogan Hall of London, Steinway Hall London, Laeiszhalle (Hamburg), Bechstein Centrum (Frankfurt and Berlin), National Philharmonic of Warsaw, Palau de la Música Catalana (Barcelona), Casa da Música (Porto), among many others. He also performs extensively in Asia including venues in China, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan as well as all major concert halls in his hometown of Hong Kong. These have included notable collaborations with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Manchester Camerata, London Chamber Orchestra, and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. His performances have also been broadcasted by BBC Radio 3, RTHK Radio 4, Catalunya Música of Catalonia, Dwójka Polish Radio 2, as well as the Finnish Broadcasting Company, Yleisradio Oy.
Hin-Yat is also one of the young artists represented by the Musicus Society Hong Kong and is a Freeman at the Worshipful Company of Musicians. A native of Hong Kong, Hin-Yat is a Bachelor graduate of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and holds both a Masters and Artist Diploma from the Royal College of Music in London where he also served as the Constant and Kit Lambert Junior Fellow. His mentors include Dmitri Alexeev and Eleanor Wong. Hin-Yat currently resides in Germany and continues his studies at the Universität der Künste Berlin with Klaus Hellwig.
