HYEONSEO CHO is a Korean pianist and currently a student at Yewon School. He has appeared in recital series and concerts including the Kumho Prodigy Concert at Kumho Art Hall Yonsei, Shinhan Live Classic, and the CNCITY Maum Foundation Rising Star Series. In addition to formal recital settings, he has participated in performance projects such as Daily Busking, presenting solo repertoire to a wider public audience. His repertoire ranges from Baroque to Romantic works, with his performance activities centered mainly on solo recital programs.
Alongside performance, HyeonSeo is also active in composition. In 2024, he composed the main piano theme for a special exhibition at the Silhak Museum under the Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation and performed the work at the exhibition’s opening event.
HyeonSeo has taken part in national and international competitions. In 2026, he was selected for the Main Round of the Prague Spring International Music Competition and the Cleveland International Piano Competition for Young Artists and participated in the Preliminary Round of the Gina Bachauer Junior International Piano Competition. In 2025, he advanced to the Main Round of the Robert Schumann Competition Düsseldorf for Young Pianists. In Korea, he has received First Prizes at competitions including the Samick–Seiler Piano Competition, EumAk-Chunchu Concours, and Yewon Music Concours, and has also received grand prizes at the EumAkSeKye Music Competition.
He has participated in masterclasses with Arnulf von Arnim, Chi-Ho Han, Enrico Pace, Eric Le Sage, Kevin Kenner, Sergey Tarasov, and Wojciech Świtała, and completed composition studies through the Seoul Arts Center Gifted Program.
