Born in Rome in 1997, Jacopo Giovannini started playing the piano at the age of four. At five he won his first competition with an international jury and at six he gave his first recital at Palazzo Barberini in Rome. At the age of 11, he made his debut playing Beethoven’s Concerto No. 1 at the Shostakovich Philharmonic Grand Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Anatoly Rybalko. Since then, he has performed in some of the most prestigious halls such as the Auditorium della Conciliazione and Palazzo della Cancelleria in Rome, the Shostakovich Grand Hall in St. Petersburg, Carnegie Hall in New York, Teatro Flavio Vespasiano in Rieti, Conservatorio di Musica “Giuseppe Verdi” and Salone degli Affreschi in Milan, Ravensburg Konzerthaus, Rathaus in Bremen, Opera in Tirana, and Atheneum in Bucharest. Jacopo completed his studies at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory of Music in Rome in 2012 with maximum grades.
Jacopo continued his studies in Germany with Professor Bernd Goetzke in Hannover and is currently enrolled in the Hochschule of Cologne in Professor Martinez Mehner’s class.
He regularly performs in festivals all over Europe, including the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern MusikFestival.
Among the figures that have influenced him musically are M. Kent Nagano, Professor Andrea Bonatta, Professor Jacques Rouvier, and Professor Benedetto Lupo.
