Jonas Aumiller

Jonas Aumiller was born 1998 in Munich, Germany, and began piano lessons at the age of seven. He earned his bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from the Conservatorio F. A. Bonporti in Trento, Italy, with Massimiliano Mainolfi. From 2018 to 2019, he completed his Graduate Diploma at The Juilliard School under the tutelage of Sergei Babayan. He is currently continuing his studies with Maestro Babayan through a master’s degree at the Cleveland Institute of Music.

Aumiller was a finalist in the 2019 Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition (Bolzano, Italy) and top prize winner of the Ettlingen International Piano Competition 2018 (Ettlingen, Germany). He has also won first prizes in the “Premio Roberto Melini” Piano Competition (Baselga di Piné, Italy), International PianoTalents Competition (Milano, Italy), Schumann Junior Competition (Zwickau, Germany) and the Mary Smart Concerto Competition (New York).

Aumiller was invited to perform in the Bellevue Palace in Berlin for the former German Federal.
A former scholarship holder of the Jürgen Ponto Foundation and the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, Jonas is currently an awardee of the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation.
