Leo de María

Leo de María studied at the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts of the Alfonso X el Sabio University in Madrid under the direction of Maestro Leonel Morales, and later completed his master’s studies with Maestro Pavel Gililov at the Mozarteum University Salzburg.

Leo has won more than 40 international awards. Highlights include the First Prizes in the international piano competitions “UNISA” in Pretoria (South Africa), “Cidade de Ferrol” (Spain), MozARTè (Germany), and Grand Prix de Lyon (France). He was also recently awarded Second Prize in the Johann Nepomuk Hummel International Piano Competition, Santa Cecilia International Competition (Portugal), Epinal International Piano Competition, International Piano Competition NEUE STERNE (Germany), and Valsesia Musica Competition (Milan, Italy).
