Lin Ye

Pianist Lin Ye completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance at the Hochschule fur Musik und Theater in Hanover, Germany. His distinguished professors included Vladimir Krainev, Markus Groh, Matti Raekallio, and Teppo Koivisto. He also received an Artist Diploma in 2018 from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he studied with Antonio Pompa-Baldi. Ye has won many prizes, including the 5th Prize at 13th Ettlingen International Competition for Young Pianists 2012, the top prize of Anton Rubinstein International Piano Competition in Düsseldorf in 2014, the Audience Prize at the Chopin- Gesellschaft International Piano Competition in 2015, First Prize at the Troisdorf International Piano Competition, First Prize at the Chopin International Piano Competition in Hartford, CT, Third Prize at the Artist Series National Competition in Sarasota, Florida, Third Prize at the New York Piano Competition in 2017, First Prize at the High Point University Piano Competition and Third Prize at Rina Sala Gallo International Piano Competition. Ye also participated in Piano Cleveland’s Virtu(al)oso, Global Competition for Artist Relief in Summer 2020. He has also played numerous recitals in Asia, Europe, and the United States at such venues as Richard Jakoby Concert Hall in Hannover Germany, La Verdi Auditorium in Milan Italy, Merkin Hall and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York City, Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall in Yokohama, Japan and City Concert Hall in Hong Kong. Lin is now a guest artist of Artist Series Sarasota and Poly Theater Management. His debut CD, “Dawn & Dusk,” was released in 2020 on the KNS Classical label.
