Michael Davidman placed first in the 2019 Juilliard Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition, won first prize at the 2018 New York International Piano Competition (chamber ensemble), and won the Grand Prize at the LISMA Foundation Ninth International Music Competition. At 13, Davidman was chosen by Lang Lang’s management to perform in the 2010 Lang Lang masterclass at Manhattan School of Music and completed the four-year scholarship program with The Chopin Foundation of the United States.
As soloist, he performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Monterey Symphony, Symphonicity, Millikin-Decatur Symphony Orchestra, Curtis Symphony Orchestra, Manhattan School of Music Philharmonic Orchestra and more. He has given recitals in Spain at the Burgos International Music Festival in Italy, and in St. Petersburg, Russia, with the International Academy of Music.
Michael studied piano with Efrem Briskin at the Manhattan School of Music and completed his Bachelor of Music degree under the guidance of Robert McDonald at the Curtis Institute of Music. He is currently pursuing his Master of Music degree at The Juilliard School with Jerome Lowenthal and Stephen Hough. Davidman has also been named a finalist for the 2021 American Pianist Awards.
