Sandro Gegechkori

Sandro Gegechkori has been called the most outstanding representative of the young generation of Georgian pianists by the fine arts foundation Fundacion Occident. International recognition and success came to Sandro at a very early age, and now he has firmly established himself in the worldwide arena of classical music.

Sandro is the winner of several international competitions, such as the prestigious Maria Canals International Music Competition (First Prize, 2021), Feurich Vienna International Piano Competition (Grand Prix, 2018), and Arno Babajanyan International Piano Competition (First Award, 2015). In the beginning of 2022, Sandro became an artist of the WFIMC (World Federation of International Music Competitions). He frequently gives piano solo recitals at various prestigious concert halls such as the Concertgebouw, Palau De La Música, L’Auditori, Mozarthaus Vienna, Palacio Euskalduna, Auditorio Nacional, and many others. Sandro currently studies at The Juilliard School under the tutelage of Julian Martin.
