Sergey Belyavskiy has studied with some of the most important leaders of the piano world, including Prof. Elisso Virsaladze at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Prof. Arie Vardi at Buchmann-Mehta School of Music in Tel-Aviv, Prof. Lev Natochenny at Kalaidos Musikhochschule in Switzerland and Prof. William Grant Nabore at Lake Como International Piano Academy.
Belyavskiy is a prize-winner of more than 20 international competitions and festivals, including 2019 First Prize at International Piano Mozarteum Competition “Juries in Competition” (Salzburg, Austria), First Prize at 2018 Gegen den Strom International Piano Competition (Bad Ems, Germany), Third Prize Bronze Medal at 2018 Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition (Salt Lake City, USA), First Prize and Special Prizes for best Polonaise and Sonata performances at 2018 4th Asia-Pacific International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition (Daegu, South Korea) and Second Prize and Audience Prize at 2016 Franz Liszt International Piano Competition (Budapest, Hungary).
In addition to concert performances and tours in 27 countries, Belyavskiy has three albums of his work. After a debut album in 2008, he released a CD in 2011 celebrating the 200th anniversary of F. Liszt, and another in 2013 presenting Chopin’s 24 etudes.
