Chinese pianist Wynona Yinuo Wang launched her career after winning the First Prize at the Concert Artists Guild International Competition (2018). Her recent performances include the Artist Spotlight series presented by the New York Philharmonic, the Shriver Hall Discovery Series, Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concerts, the Steinway Society of Western Pennsylvania, as well as concerti with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the Roswell Symphony, the DuPage Symphony Orchestra, The Orchestra Now, Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra, North State Symphony, Meadows Symphony Orchestra, the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic Society of Ukraine, and the Mihail Jora Philharmonic Orchestra.
She has appeared at numerous major venues including Sydney Opera House, Lincoln Center’s David Geffen Hall, Carnegie’s Weill Hall, the Metropolitan Museum’s Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium, Dallas Opera’s Winspear Opera House, Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center (La Jolla), the California Center for the Arts, and Merkin Hall at the Kaufman Music Center. Internationally, she has performed in Australia, Ukraine, Italy, China, Japan, Spain and Indonesia. Her summer festival performances include Music@Menlo, La Jolla SummerFest, Mostly Mozart Festival, Music Mountain Chamber Music, Tippet Rise, Four Seasons, and International Keyboard Institute & Festival.
Her 2023-2024 season highlights include concerto engagements with the Pasadena Symphony, the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra, and the Midland Symphony Orchestra.
Wynona has garnered top honors at numerous competitions including First Prizes at the Wideman International Piano Competition and the Indonesia Pusaka International Piano Competition. Wynona was named “Legacy Pianist” by the Joaquín Achúcarro Foundation (2018) and she received the Charlotte White Career Grant awarded by Salon de Virtuosi (2019). Due to her outstanding performances at the most recent Sydney International Piano Competition, a recording album featuring her live performances will be released under the Australia Decca label in 2024.
Wynona recently earned her bachelor’s degree at The Juilliard School with the Arthur Rubinstein Commencement Award, and she currently pursues her master’s degree at The Juilliard School with Robert McDonald.
