Xiaotong Zhou

XIAOTONG ZHOU is a 15-year-old pianist from China. She began her piano studies at the age of five, demonstrating a natural sensitivity to musical expression from an early age. In 2021, at age ten, Xiaotong earned First Place in the entrance examination and was admitted to the Gulangyu Piano School of the Central Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Dr. Shuo Zhang. In 2024, she advanced to the Affiliated Middle School of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, continuing her professional training under the guidance of Associate Professor Shuo Huang. 

Xiaotong has received numerous awards in national and regional competitions. Her honors include First Prize in the Children’s Group A at the BOYA Piano Art Festival National Finals (2018), First Prize in the Children’s Group B at the Shanghai International Youth Piano Competition Hunan Regional Division (2019), and First Prize in the Children’s Group B at the Huanglong Music Festival Piano Art Week Hunan Regional Division (2019). She also earned Second Prize in the Children’s Group B at the National Steinberg Youth Piano Competition (2019). Most recently, Xiaotong was awarded Third Prize in the Professional Group B at the Steinway National Youth Piano Competition (2025), reflecting her continued artistic growth and dedication to her craft.
