Yanzhuo Li

Yanzhuo Li, who was born in Henan Province in 2001, started to study piano at age six with Yifei Luo. In 2013, he began his studies at the Middle School of the Central Conservatory of Music (CCOM) under the guidance of Professor Jin Zhang. In 2019, he was admitted to CCOM with excellent marks, and he has been studying with Professor Danwen Wei since 2021. He is currently in his first year of the graduate program at CCOM.

Yanzhuo is a prize-winner of many international competitions, including First Prize at the Cooper Music Festival International Competition (Oberlin, USA, 2016), First Place in the Master category at the 63rd Grotrian International Piano Competition (China, 2018), First Prize at the 17th Conservatory Cup Piano Concerto Competition and Yamaha Asian Music Scholarship Selection at Central Conservatory of Music (2021), First Prize in the Professional Group at the 19th Xinghai Cup National Piano Competition (2022), Third Prize of the 5th Lang Lang – Shenzhen Futian Cup National Youth Piano Competition (2023), and Second Prize at the 8th Internationaler Deutscher Irmler-Klavierwettbewerb (2023). He was also selected to be a part of the Central Conservatory of Music Best of the Best Top-notch Innovative Talent Cultivation Program in January 2024.

He has performed concerti with the Minnesota Orchestra, the Central Conservatory of Music Symphony Orchestra, the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, the Ningbo Symphony Orchestra, the Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra, the Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestra, the Zhengzhou Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Fuzhou Cross-Strait Artistic Youth Joint Symphony Orchestra. The conductors he has worked with include Mark Russell Smith, Lin Chen, Renchang Fu, Danwen Wei, Haofu Chai, Yang Jiao, Hao Cheng, and Jingzhan Li.
