YIXIN SHEN is from Shanghai, China, and embarked on her piano journey at the tender age of 5. Since 2020, Yixin has been pursuing piano studies under the tutelage of Professor Kuanwen Wang at the Music Middle School Affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music (Elementary Department). In 2023, she was recommended as one of the top students for the Middle School Department and was exempt from the entrance examination. 

Yixin has made her mark in several major international piano competitions for young artists. In 2025, she participated in the Cooper International Piano Competition and clinched the Fourth Prize. The previous year, she was selected among 440 applicants to compete in the 19th Ettlingen International Piano Competition. She has also won numerous competitions, like the First Prize at 2022 Irvine Conservatory International Music Competition (Piano Category C) and the Gold Prize at 2021 St. Petersburg International Music Competition (Junior Class), among others. 

Beyond solo performances, Yixin is also a passionate chamber musician, actively engaging in this collaborative art form with remarkable dedication. She leads a piano trio ensemble named MODERN TRIO, which has garnered top prizes in several Chamber Music Competitions. Notable achievements include securing the First Prize and the Best Contemporary Work Interpretation Award at the 13th SHCMMS International Chamber Music Competition in October 2025, as well as the Gold Prize at the Young Maestro International Competition in March 2025. 

Yixin’s talent has also been recognized on prestigious stages, as she was invited to perform at the closing concert of the 2nd Chinese Young Musicians Art Festival in Shenzhen, China, alongside the Shenzhen Bay Orchestra. She has also graced the stages of Carnegie Hall (Weill Recital Hall), Shanghai Symphony Hall, Shanghai Concert Hall, Zhuhai Huafa Grand Theater, and more.
