YURIM KIM is a South Korean pianist distinguished by her musical maturity, refined technique, and expressive depth. She began studying the piano at an early age and has developed a clear artistic identity through extensive performance experience and rigorous musical training.
Yurim graduated as the top-ranked student from Yewon School, one of Korea’s most prestigious arts middle schools, and was admitted to Seoul Arts High School. During her studies, she has won numerous First Prizes at major national piano competitions, earning recognition as one of the most promising young pianists of her generation in Korea.
She has appeared as a soloist with the Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra and has given recitals at renowned venues including Carnegie Hall in New York. These performance experiences have served as an important foundation for her musical growth and international exposure. She has also participated in masterclasses with distinguished pianists, including Seong-Jin Cho, further expanding her musical perspective and depth of interpretation.
Yurim was selected as a soloist for the Kumho Prodigy Concert Series, one of Korea’s leading programs supporting outstanding young musicians. She is currently participating in the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition and the Cleveland International Piano Competition for Young Artists, and was previously a finalist at the Ettlingen International Piano Competition.
Her repertoire spans a wide range of works from the Baroque period to contemporary music, with a particular affinity for Romantic and modern piano literature. With a solid technical foundation and thoughtful musicianship, Yurim continues to pursue her artistic development as she prepares for an international performing career.
