Hao-Wei Lin gave his first recital at the age of 10. He has won prizes at several international piano competitions, including second prizes at the 15th Ettlingen International Competition for Young Pianists in Germany and the 4th Aarhus International Piano Competition for Young Pianists in Denmark. He also won first prize at the 61st International Grotrian-Steinweg Piano Competition in Germany and a distinction prize at the 23rd International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth in Poland. He is a student at Taipei Municipal Zhongzheng Junior High School and studies with Chun-Chieh Yen.
