About Piano Cleveland

JiWon Yang

JiWon made her debut at age nine by performing a solo recital at Mozart Hall and Kumho Art Hall in Seoul, and also in Yongsan Art Hall. Since then she has won second prize at the 2015 Astana Piano Passion International Competition for Young Pianists (Kazakhstan) and fourth prize at the 2015 Zhuhai International Mozart Competition for Young Musicians. JiWon has performed solo recitals at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, St. Paul University of the Philippines, and at the 2013 and 2014 Philippines Chopin Society Invitation Recital.   She also performed in Kumho Hall for the Kumho Prodigy Invitation Series. JiWon is a student at the Seoul Art High School and studies with Hyoung-Joon Chang and Se-Hee Kee.
